My name is Morgan Watkins,
The first four years of my teaching career, I served as a reading specialist. Initially, I was disappointed because, fresh out of college, I dreamed of having my own classroom with my own students. What I didn’t realize at the time was that this was God’s perfect plan for me. He was telling me to sit down, and He started working on me. During this time, I perfected my practice as an Orton Gillingham educator and served over 130 kids a year on reading intervention plans. That’s where I fell in love with teaching kids how to read. I am forever grateful for this time that helped me grow into the educator that I am today.
